Our doctors believe cancer to be more than a simple physical imbalance of bodily function, but an imbalance within the spiritual and emotional aspects of the individual that result in this physical imbalance.  Hence, we strive to nurture the healing of the physical body by supporting the physical, emotional and spiritual parts of the patient.  We believe that in order to achieve health and balance of the body, harmony of the soul and spirit must first exist.  To assist the individual in achieving this harmony we utilize various emotional, psychological and spiritual techniques in association with naturopathic physical healing modalities.  Please note that naturopathic doctors are not allowed to "treat" cancer in California (this hopefully will change in the future).  Curently we offer the very important aspect of complementary care to assist patients with going through cancer treatments with supportive care through nutrition, alternatives to pain management, minimizing side effects and enhancing efficacy of chemotherapy and radiation and cancer recurrence prevention.
