Carob
Sunflower Balls

 | Toast @ 350 for 10-15 minutes |
 | ½ cup sunflower seeds |
 | ½ cup walnuts (or almonds) |
 | Chop walnuts finely, mix with
sunflower seeds and: |
 | 1-cup almond or cashew butter |
 | ½ cup brown rice syrup (or maple
syrup) |
 | ½ cup carob powder |
 | ½ cup rolled oats |
 | ¼ tsp. vanilla |
 | 1 tbs. Sesame seeds |
Wet hands and shape mix into 2-in. balls.
Roll in ¾ cup of coconut (or crushed
almonds, or other allowed nut). Chill. If
substituting maple for brown rice syrup then add maple syrup last
in order to
achieve desired thickness. This recipe works without carob
powder as well
